MID-TERM CME OF NABI, LATUR, MAHARASHTRA 14TH OCT 2012
In its academic pursuit to further the burn education and spread awareness regarding various preventive and treatment aspects of Burn injuries, especially amongst doctors working in a peripheral setup, NABI endorses and provides yearly financial support to Continuing Medical Education programs conducted by NABI members each year. Treading on the same path, a full day Mid-Term CME of NABI was held at Hotel Grand, Latur, Mahrashtra on 14th October 2012. The CME was organized by Dr.Vithal Lahane and his team of highly motivated and enthusiastic members.
The CME theme was befittingly named as ‘Strengthen the Burn Care in India’. Nearly 80 delegates registered from different parts of Maharashtra. After Saraswati vandana the CME was inaugurated and the Inaugural lamp was lit by Padamshri Dr.Ashok Gupta, President Elect-APSI. The didactic lectures encompassed practically all aspects of burns management. The faculty included Dr.Ashok Gupta, Dr.K.L.Bora, Dr.Umesh Shah-President elect NABI, Dr.Sunil Keswani, Dr.Jiten Kulkarni, Dr.Prabhat Shrivastava-Secretary NABI, Dr.Vinita Puri-Editor IJB, Dr.Ramakant Bembede, Dr.Mangesh Tandle, Dr.Avinash Yalikar and Dr.Vithal Lahane. All the invited speakers from various Burn units in the country delivered their talks and interacted with the audience. It was very heartening to note the active participation from a large number of delegates after each lecture. The CME was greatly appreciated and was a big success.
