Mid-Term CME of NABI, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha

A full day Mid Term CME of NABI with the theme "Primary care of a burn victim" was organized by the Department of Burns, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at theConference Hall, Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, Siksha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneshwar on 5th October 2013. Prof Dr.A.K.Choudhury was the organizing Chairman and Dr.Jayant Kumar Dash was the organizing secretary.

More than 150 delegates registered for the CME. A large number of General Surgery colleagues also participated besides plastic surgeons from all over the state of Odisha. The CME was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Health, Govt of OdishaShri Dr. Damodar Rout. A souvenir cum proceedings was released as well on the occasion. The CME was given a wide coverage in the electronic media as well highlighting the role of NABI in its efforts to disseminate the knowledge in prevention and proper care of burns.

Talks given by the eminent faculty in the field of Burns and Plastic Surgery encompassed practically all aspects of burns management. The didactic lectures were delivered by Dr. S.Baliarsingh, Bhubaneshwar, Dr.Falguny Ray, Bhubaneshwar, Dr.Arun Choudhury,Cuttack, Dr.Sunil Keswani, Mumbai, Dr.Prabhat Shrivasatav, Secretary NABI, New Delhi, Dr.Atul Shah, Vadodara, Dr.Akshay Rout, Bhubaneshwar, Dr.Subrat Jena, Bhubaneshwar, Dr.BibhutiBhusanNaik and Dr.Pruthviraj Singh from Cuttack.There was a very good, activeand lively interaction of the delegates with all the faculty after all lectures.
