• This award is intended to be conferred upon any Indian Scientist, Doctor, Nurse or any other individual who makes outstanding contribution to the care of burn victims in any aspects of the burn injury like prevention, treatment, care or rehabilitation by the way of original research which such individual has carried out in order to alleviate suffering of burn victims or has led to improved outcome in the burn care or health in the rehabilitation of burn victims or in any other manner which has helped burn care to be easier, more efficient, cheaper or has led to faster recovery of burn patient.
  
  
Any full life member of NABI can send recommendation to nominate eligible individual.


• Nomination should be accompanied by complete bio-data of the nominee, along with the details of the research conducted.


• The nominee should be an Indian Citizen. The nominee need not be member of NABI.


• Nominee should have carried out the useful research in the field of burns. The research should be preferably conducted anywhere in India. However, in special circumstances the work conducted outside India can be nominated if it is of an outstanding nature. Work can be in any field of burn injury.


• The awardee shall be requested to present his / her work during the annual Conference.


• Nominations for the year 2016 should reach the Hon. Secretary, NABI before 15th Jan 2017.
