NABICON 2015 was held from 20th to 22nd February at Hotel Aveda, Ludhiana, Punjab . It was a culmination of an excellent academic feast and cultural extravaganza with performers dancing to the tune of the famous Punjabi' Bhangra”.The conference focussed on the theme of 'Learn, Practice and Propagate Burn care . 'The conference was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Baba Faridkot University of Medical Sciences , Dr Raj Bahadur and Guest of honour Baba Jaswant Singh ,presided over the function .All the visiting faculty and orators were honoured .

There were both national and international faculty who are well known and renowned, who shared their experiences with the delegates .The international faculty hailed from Korea , Australia , Europe and America. Their deliberations were highly appreciated as it provided information regarding how burn management differs in the other parts of the world. The scientific programme was a delight for all the delegates including the postgraduate students . Topics ranged from basics in burn care including initial management, surgical management of burns, burn wound infection, inhalation injury, to all the recent advances in burn management including use of laser in burn scars, cultured epithelial cells therapy , silver impregnated burn dressings etc. It also provided a platform to NABI members to present their work , exchange knowledge, review basics and discuss recent advances in burn care as well . The delegate strength was 350 which included plastic surgeons , general surgeons , postgraduate students and nurses. There were CME lectures organized for training of nurses at Mediways Hospital , Ferozpur road, Ludhiana as well as for nursing students at rural college of nursing, Babe Ke College of nursing and multi speciality hospital, Daudha (Moga)which was 70 km from Ludhiana. Dr J L Gupta, Dr S P Bajaj, Dr Karoon Agrawal and Dr Sujata Sarabahi delivered lectures to them which were very much appreciated .

We sincerely hope that after attending this conference burn care will be propagated and improved not only in the state of Punjab but all over the country.
